Action

Action is a fast-growing international non-food discount chain with more than 1,500 stores in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Austria and Poland. It employs almost 46,000 people across all these countries. In 2018 its total net sales reached EUR 4.2 billion. About one third of the more than 6,000 items in Action stores belongs to the standard range. Everything else changes quickly: every week Action puts over 150 new items on its shelves. The range covers 14 categories: decoration, DIY, toys and entertainment, hobby, multimedia, household goods, garden, laundry and cleaning, food and drink, personal care, pets, sport, clothing and bedding. Action offers both well-known brands and its own labels. The chain can guarantee such low prices thanks to the scale and efficiency of its purchasing, optimised distribution and a disciplined cost policy across the organisation. Action makes no concessions on the quality, safety or production conditions of the goods it sells. Its Ethical Sourcing Policy ensures a socially and environmentally responsible approach to production. Action currently runs 67 stores in Poland and employs over 1,000 people here.
